How to get an IB Diploma?

Students who want to get an IB diploma must first enroll in a school that offers the IB program. More than 90 schools in Turkey offer the IB program. Students enrolled in the IB program must successfully complete two years of courses from six academic areas known as the hexagonal model. These courses are as follows:

Students have to take three of these six areas at the advanced level (240 hours) and three at the standard level (150 hours). In addition, students must fulfill the following tasks, which are core elements of the program:

Creativity, activity, service (CAS): A program that encourages students to participate in creative, sporting and social activities that contribute to their personal and professional development.

To get an IB diploma, students need to score at least 24 points. However, 32 points or more are usually required to apply to universities.
